Ugly Punch
May 10, 2008 in Poetry
Ugly Punch
hazing from the sunrise,
for its eyeing me, and
unfriendly doing so…
why, did I take that much;
knowing today would surely
offer only more ugly punch

Have a Heart
May 10, 2008 in Poetry
Have a Heart
don’t go makin’ problems,
so what if he shot
your poor dog,
then punched-out
your ol’ ill mother,
after burnin’ down
your place…
don’t you have a heart
for those criminally insane

Your Crying Song
March 14, 2008 in Poetry
Your Crying Song
taking your disease,
and suffering longly
with this sad pain…
who knew you
were handing out freely,
those aches of shame;
your crying song

Sinless
March 14, 2008 in Poetry
Sinless
with a kiss,
betrayed…
but with
a cross;
set free

Fruitful
March 14, 2008 in Poetry
Fruitful
dancing on the vine,
and rejoicing herein
beaming summer rays…
surely this be, but one,
of the coming down
shinning glory days

Sad Love Affair

Sad Love Affair
I listen
so intently,
for some
whisper,
to come
here sweetly…
but often
I stand,
and tire
into dismay

Punching the Clock
March 13, 2008 in Poetry
Punching the Clock
punch the clock,
show it no mercy;
because truly, it never felt
one ounce of pity for me…
with it’s tellings of my
comings and goings;
it rightfully deserves
a mighty beating

Diggin’ Up Dirt (The Old Others)
March 13, 2008 in Poetry
Diggin’ Up Dirt (The Old Others)
diggin’ up the earth;
and all the brown-soil-offers
is truly just some small glimpse…
because really we’ll never know
just how the old others lived

String of Thought
March 13, 2008 in Poetry
String of Thought
with this string,
wrapped tightly ’round
my bony finger;
surely I’ll be forced
to recall its meaning…
or lose the digit
in the deepest thinkings

Tame Jubilee
March 13, 2008 in Poetry
Tame Jubilee
mixing these words,
and hoping deeply,
for some great outcome…
but sometimes, all that comes
is simply a tame jubilee
