Diggin’ Up Dirt (The Old Others)

Diggin’ Up Dirt (The Old Others)

diggin’ up the earth;

and all the brown-soil-offers

is truly just some small glimpse…

because really we’ll never know

just how the old others lived

  1. Archeology can only offer a glimpse.

    The most amazing insight-ever- you can have into another person’s life, mind and thinking… is his or her writing.

    In this digital age, I think we are standing before a new dawn.

    Archeology (History) ,a millenium or so down the road, assuming we (Man) don’t do nuthin’ really stupid…., will have whole disciplines and departments dedicated to researching and studying, (alongside The Neanderthal Man and Peking Man), what I would call "early Digital Man".

    Ancient Internet websites, digitally stored for pretty well ever, (like this one) will be dragged up, and lovingly restored and studied.

    What to us are scribblings, insignificant to our true lives today (what matters is money and career and houses and 401k’s…right?), to future scholars will be a precious peek into the cultural mindset and the creative yearning… of simple artistic folk like you and me.
