HE WANTED LOVE

April 6, 2008 in Poetry

More Love

He arrived from far away
stopped to say hello-
Handsome young man,
with a lot of potential
for his life adventure.

In search for his love,
Love his heart desired
a passion – body on fire.
One look in the eyes
was enough.
He knew the truth-
there were no doubts or lies.

He craved love and more love.
A simple touch holding hands,
Perhaps a kiss or embrace.
He was the man,
with a beautiful heart,
looking to find a true love for life.

SENTIMENTS

March 1, 2008 in Poetry

The day is ending in silence
the birds have flown away
only a few leaves are left on the branches
in those neighbouring gardens.

I sit silently
thinking of you again
only my special song is playing
“sweet Fur Elise “-my favourite song
dedicated to you, my friend…

I was thinking of you that evening
the feeling was great!
These miles that separate us melted away
like a breeze carried on the morning air
my sole thought of you remained so fresh
on that one special October day.

When the fall season
entered our hemisphere
and the beauty of Nature and the richness
of her colours burst forth again…
I wrote these sentiments for you
to tell you how much I appreciate
the kindness and honesty expressed;
you will always remain as a special friend
for the rest of my days.

RESILIENCE

January 28, 2008 in Poetry

Thoughts about the unexpected changes
in her family life bombarded her brain.
She wanted to die.
Her beloved and only sister was gone,
on the first day of a New Year.
The disbelief,and the grief,
pierced her like a cruel,
well aimed lancer.

The loss of her only blood relative
Traumatized her.
She asked why
She had to experience
The loss of the twin sister
She loved so much.

Her brain became numb –
She thought about her every day.
She could even smell
The perfume she wore.

Day after day
she thought to herself –
I do not want to live without her,
I want to die.
It was the only thing
she had on her mind.
It was extremely hard to know
that the twin she loved so deeply
she would never see again.

How much she wished
She could have her back
only God knows.
But in reality
No one can turn back the clock
or reverse time.
The trauma changed her drastically.
It tormented her,twisted her
and murdered her soul,
cruelly and slowly
deliberately,each lonely day.

Life went on
but the healing process was slow.
Even the help of family and friends
did not raise her spirits.

The support she needed to cope with this,
the fatal loss in improving the vision
And resilience to accept the fact
that her twin sister would not be back,
coping with such traumatic loss,
the stress and tears have been too much.

Tears kept flowing from her eyes.
This was the most difficult and adverse time.
She wrote pages and letters
to tell her twin how much she loved her
and missed her every day.
So much strength was needed
to conquer the adversity in life
and be able to live happily again
after losing someone she loved.
This was the hardest
And most difficult in her life
knowing how helpless she was.

Only precious memories
And pictures remain
From that time.
Perhaps she could travel
to a resting place – to light a candle
or visit the Ocean – to write ‘I love you’
In the sand – where the waves
Will wash away the words of her final goodbye.
Improving resilience lessens the grief
that keeps coming back.
With the help of God,
It will heal the wound in her broken heart.

Dedicated to Kristy in Loving Memory
of Her Twin Sister

LETTER FROM HOME

January 26, 2008 in Poetry

I have been waiting for so long
waiting and waiting for you
to come home
life was not easy since you left.

Did I tell you?
that our children have grown
each has a family on their own
I am waiting for you
to come home – our home
I miss you.

There are times
that I miss you so much.
I wished to hear your voice
feel your soft touch
your presence at home
means so much
life with smiles, happiness and joy
I am waiting and waiting
for you to come home.

I hope and pray that one day
you will return to me
my heart is aching for you my love
waiting for you my Angel
Please return safe
to our home.

My love has never changed for you
you are the only one I love
missing you every day a lot
waiting and waiting
for your safe return home.

I promise to wait
until you will be back
the day is near
I feel the War will end soon
want you to know
that you mean so much to me
and I will be waiting
to celebrate those moments
of your safe return home
I love you.

KING TUTANKHAMEN

January 20, 2008 in Poetry

King Tutankhamen
the youngest and famous
Egyptian Pharaoh
no doubt…
His tomb was found
not touched by anyone.
King Tutankhamen
at his early age
was the most powerful one.

Boy Emperor…A son
of Amenhooptep the King
His residence in Memphis
Now Cairo…
He was very young
when the War broke down.
The youngest Emperor
suddenly died.

They buried him
in the Valley of the Tombs.
Some say near Luxor.
His tomb was not found
for a long time.
People believed…
The place of his rest
was a sacred one.
These were the story
of Tutankhamen Pharaoh.
He was the youngest of rulers
of the Egyptian Land.

Ancient Egypt that fascinates:
The oldest World History.
And Archaeological sites;
Five Thousand year’s old culture
Still inspires
and draws many tourists,
to this unique Land.

MOON DREAMS

January 19, 2008 in Poetry

I have been always fascinated
by Moon and discovery
of this unique sphere
kept me for years in suspension
what truly is on the Moon?
Is there any Life?

Are there any possibilities
for the future that we can
think of relocating
I have been meditating
on the question
reading books about it
written by people
who all say emphatically – Yes!

I went to sleep begging the Spirit
to tell me who was it on the dark side
of the kitchenette
did not seem to be clear
as it came from the faucet
rather more whitish could have been
because of air in the water
alternatively something else
I do not know.

I was too busy working
to question about that
before I came home
I was in a car with someone
who was driving there?
seemed to be some kind
of competition for space
on the road as well-
and the dark side of the Moon.

I was not aware of that yet
finally I have seen many cars
and a red light ahead-
we could not stop in time
in addition ahead of us I could see
a five or six cars pileup.

We crunched into the last car
in front of us though-
I do not think anyone hit us from behind
nevertheless, there was a person up front
whose entire car came apart?
was delivering mussels-
from the seashore to restaurants.

The drivers were all sorry for him
because his entire catch of mussels
was all over the street-
I woke up and can’t get that song
out of my head-
singing cockles and mussels alive…alive… O’
this was the darkest side of my Moon flight!

LAND OF THE NILE

January 19, 2008 in Poetry

Walking along the temples
Carved in a solid rocks
On the West bank of the Nile.
Long after the Ramses
Build the temples
For the Sun of God.

The sacred land
That still holds the mystery
of many Cultures.
The solid walls
Made out of brick
When Ramses was there.

He looked often
at the beautiful river
and prayed to God
in adoration.
History says-the Gods
were adored by all
The Pharaohs of this land.

Ramses was one
of well known rulers
in that Ancient time.
He wanted to please
His God special to him.
God of the raising Sun.

He worshiped him
with adoration.
And People believed
That God will defeat
the darkness of the night
worshiping the raising Sun.
Interesting History
of Ancient Egyptian Land.

THE WIND

January 12, 2008 in Poetry

The wind had been blowing
From west today,
It may bring some rain.
I am hoping that it will bring
the softness to the soil again.
The wind is blowing
From the west again.

I love your gentle breeze.
You always bring changes-
sometimes rain-
Another time thunder, hail or mist.
Someday Hurricanes!
The wind is blowing
From the west today.

I love you thy wind
For the peaceful breeze.
And gentle soothing touch to face
also for the skin which tickles.
The Nature has so many faces.
The wind is blowing
From the west again.
The wind truly made my day!
