Stormy

Stormy skies
Wistful eyes.
Wind whispers
Soft lullabies.
Still I Find
no reconciliation.
Heart feels pain
Not jubilation.
Just pouring Rain,
Thunder pounding.
Enhances the hurt
Anger abounding.
Rage will spike
Ready to hide.
Confusion despite
No peace inside.
Could ever begin
To make it right.
So once again
I will stand and fight.
May God forgive me
For the sins I commit.
I am only human and
Not as good as I hope to get…

Hmm. Stormy indeed. It first reminded me of my own experiences when the weather inspired or seemed to reflect my mood. I like this. Each stanza compliments the next. I particularly like the pairing of the words "rage" and "spike." It brings to mind the sharp edge of that emotion. Well done.
